DIRECTIONS:
From New Jersey and Points South
- From the Lincoln Tunnel, follow sign to the 42nd Street make a left onto 42nd.
- Street go up 3 blocks and make a right onto 12th Avenue.
- Take 12th Avenue 1/2 mile and make a left on 55th street, which is the entrance to the terminal.
- take ext 1 (9A). Pass 3 lights and make a right onto West Street (which is also 12th Avenue).
- take West Street/12 Avenue 1mil.
- make a left onto 55th Street, which is the entrance to the terminal.
- Go southbound on the Henry Hudson Parkway (Route 9A).
- exit to the right at 55th Street.
- From the Queens-Midtown Tunnel, go west via 34th Street to 12th Avenue.
- Continue north to the New York Cruise Terminal.
- Take 55th Street, and cross 12th Avenue to enter the Terminal.
Parking Info
Parking is conveniently located above each of the piers.
Drive up the Viaduct Ramp at 55th Street to the receiving
area adjacent to their cruise vessel's berth.
Additional parking lots are located at 59th Street.

For Post-Cruise Guests we include transportation from the ship to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT CHECKING-IN:
Get to the Pier
Please arrive no earlier than 10:30AM.
The building will not be open before this time and the
driveway is very congested with disembarking guests.
Check Your Luggage
Attach a Holland America Line Bag Tag to all pieces of
checked luggage. Follow the signs to the baggage check-in
door which opens promptly at 10:30AM; show your baggage,
cruise ticket and photo-ID to the security personnel.
Your bags will be scanned and then loaded onboard and
delivered to your stateroom.

Guests who have completed the Online Check-In
requirements are only required to present the following:
- Proof of Citizenship
- Signature Preferred Boarding Pass

Board Your Ship
In New York embarkation starts at about 11:30am. An
announcement will be made once the embarkation process is
ready to start.
Visa Requirements
Voyages leaving New England typically stops in Canada.
Some Non-US Citizens require Canadian "Temporary Resident
Visas" in order to board. Please check the Canadian
Immigration Website to find out if you need one prior to
coming to New York. Those guests who require a visa and
do not obtain one will be denied boarding.
Voyages leaving for Europe: Some Non-US Citizens might
require a Schengan visa in order to board. Please check
with the Consulate of every country you will visit during
the cruise (including port of embarkation/disembarkation)
for specific visa requirements. Be sure to provide the
complete itinerary of your voyage. Alternatively you may
contact a visa service agency in your country for
assistance. Please note if your itinerary departs and
re-enters countries which participate in the Schengen
Agreement, certain nationalities may be required to
obtain a Multiple Entry Schengen Visa. Those guests who
require a visa and do not obtain one will be denied
boarding.
Voyages leaving for the Caribbean Caribbean: Some Non-US
Citizens require visas in order to board. Please check
with the Caribbean consular to find out if you need one
prior to coming to Ft. Lauderdale. Those guests who
require a visa and do not obtain one will be denied
boarding.
Voyages leaving for Mexico: Some Non-US citizens require
Mexican Visas or Passport Stamps. Please check the
Mexican Immigration Website [links to
http://www.consulmexny.org/eng/visas_fmt.htm] to find out
if you need one prior to coming to San Diego. Those
guests who require a visa and do not obtain one will be
denied boarding.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT LEAVING YOUR SHIP:
Approximate Time of Disembarkation
In New York, disembarkation typically starts at 8AM and ends at 10AM.
Government Clearance
All Guests are subject to Department of Homeland Security
Screening. Please keep your citizenship documents with
you at all times.
All luggage is laid down in the disembarkation hall by color/number order for guests to claim prior to checking in with the airlines. Once you are invited to exit the ship, please come and find your color/number group and claim your bags. Please exit the building with all family members and luggage; once you leave you cannot re-enter.
The Porters are salaried employees and tipping is not required.
Your Transportation
Immediately outside the doors of the disembarkation hall you can find Holland America Line motorcoach transfers, taxis, and limos.
In New York guests usually choose to take Holland America Line arranged transportation for their ease and comfort. There is also Taxi and Limo Service available to/from the ship's terminal.
Holland America Line offers transfers between all major New York City Airports, Recommended Hotels and Ship's Terminal via motorcoach.
If you would like to book a transfer please call 1-877-SAIL HAL and tell them you would like to add a transfer.
Depending on your air arrival time and date special instructions have been included in your ticket book advising where to find your Holland America Line Guest Service Representative at the airport.

vehicle.
